Um die Faktoren zu verstehen, die m\u00f6glicherweise zum geringen Nachwuchs dieser wichtigen Art beitragen, untersuchten von GLFT finanzierte Forscher die Erreger, die Infektionen bei erwachsenen und jungen Seen-Marinen verursachen, sowie die Anf\u00e4lligkeit der Fische f\u00fcr einige Krankheiten im Labor. Die Daten aus dieser Studie k\u00f6nnen m\u00f6glicherweise zur Erstellung von Populationsmodellen der Seen-Marinen mit besseren Sch\u00e4tzungen der Sterblichkeit verwendet werden und k\u00f6nnten langfristig als Grundlage f\u00fcr eine Vielzahl von Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Fischgesundheit dienen.<\/p>\n<p>Unter der Leitung von Dr. Thomas Loch von der Michigan State University entnahm das Forschungsteam Proben von Wei\u00dffischen aus den Seen Michigan, Huron und Superior, um zu bestimmen, welche Krankheitserreger in ihrem Gewebe vorhanden waren. Das Forschungsteam z\u00fcchtete au\u00dferdem junge Wei\u00dffische im Labor und testete ihre Anf\u00e4lligkeit f\u00fcr Infektionen und Krankheiten bei Kontakt mit Krankheitserregern, die in wilden Wei\u00dffischen vorkommen.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\r\n\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t<h3>Wichtige Erkenntnisse<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Renibacterium salmoninarum <\/em>(die Ursache der bakteriellen Nierenerkrankung) Infektionen traten bei erwachsenen Fischen, die an Standorten mit historisch niedriger Rekrutierung beprobt wurden, h\u00e4ufiger auf als bei Fischen, die an Standorten mit historisch hoher Rekrutierung beprobt wurden. Dieses Bakterium wurde auch in den Gonaden einiger Fische nachgewiesen, was bemerkenswert ist, weil <em>R. salmoninarum<\/em> kann bei anderen Salmonidenarten von den Eltern auf die Nachkommen \u00fcbertragen werden.<\/li>\n<li><em>Flavobacterium psychrophilum<\/em>, das bakterielle Kaltwasserkrankheit verursacht und auch bei anderen Salmonidenarten von den Eltern auf die Nachkommen \u00fcbertragen wird, wurde erstmals bei infizierten erwachsenen Wei\u00dffischen nachgewiesen.<\/li>\n<li><em>Carnobacterium maltaromaticum <\/em>(Ursache der Pseudonierenerkrankung) wurde in den Gonaden und Nieren von erwachsenen Wei\u00dffischen festgestellt, und Infektionen traten h\u00e4ufig h\u00e4ufiger bei ausgewachsenen Tieren auf, die an Standorten mit historisch geringer Rekrutierung gesammelt wurden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Wichtige Ergebnisse der Forschung zu Wei\u00dffischen im See<\/h3>\n<p>Dieses Forschungsprojekt brachte wichtige neue Erkenntnisse \u00fcber die Krankheitserreger und Krankheiten der Gro\u00dfen Seen-Wei\u00dffische.
