Im Michigansee scheinen die Schwankungen in der Rekrutierung und H\u00e4ufigkeit von Seemar\u00e4nen zwischen den Best\u00e4nden stark unterschiedlich zu sein. Wenn die Mar\u00e4nenbest\u00e4nde klarer abgegrenzt w\u00e4ren, h\u00e4tten Forscher und Manager mehr M\u00f6glichkeiten, die Rekrutierungsdynamik und bestandsspezifische Bewirtschaftung zu untersuchen.<\/p>\n<p>Dieses Forschungsprojekt verwendete genomische Techniken, um die Populationsstruktur von See-Wei\u00dffischen besser zu verstehen und gleichzeitig die Grundlage f\u00fcr ein kosteng\u00fcnstigeres Genotypisierungsinstrument zu schaffen. Dr. Megan McPhee von der University of Alaska\u2013Fairbanks und Dr. Wes Larson von der National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration leiteten zusammen mit dem Postdoktoranden Yue Shi ein Forschungsteam, das die r\u00e4umliche Struktur von See-Wei\u00dffischpopulationen anhand von Zehntausenden genetischer Marker untersuchte und herausfand, welche genetischen Marker die gr\u00f6\u00dfte statistische Aussagekraft zur Unterscheidung von Wei\u00dffischbest\u00e4nden hatten. Sie entwickelten ein genetisches Panel, das sich nur auf die aussagekr\u00e4ftigsten genetischen Marker konzentrierte und so eine feinere Populationsstruktur identifizieren konnte, als dies aus fr\u00fcheren genetischen Studien hervorging.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\r\n\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t<h3>Wichtige Erkenntnisse<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Die Wei\u00dffische auf der nordwestlichen Seite des Michigansees unterscheiden sich genetisch von denen auf der Ostseite.<\/li>\n<li>Die Wei\u00dffische auf der Ostseite des Michigansees weisen eine st\u00e4rkere Populationsstruktur auf als die auf der Westseite.<\/li>\n<li>Zwischen den Wei\u00dffischen auf der Lake-Michigan-Seite der Door County-Halbinsel und denen aus Big Bay de Noc im Nordosten der Halbinsel besteht eine geringere genetische Differenzierung als bisher berichtet.<\/li>\n<li>Im nordwestlichen Michigansee gibt es zwei genetische Cluster von Wei\u00dffischen, die sich in der Green Bay zu \u00fcberschneiden scheinen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Wichtige Ergebnisse f\u00fcr die Forschung<\/h3>\n<p>Die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit werden verwendet, um gemischte Wei\u00dffischproben aus dem Michigansee zu genotypisieren (mit Dr. Jared Homola von der University of Wisconsin\u2013Stevens Point), was m\u00f6glicherweise zu besseren Fangmodellen f\u00fcr die Bestandsbewertung von Wei\u00dffischen im See f\u00fchren k\u00f6nnte.
