Las subvenciones otorgadas a trav\u00e9s de esta RFP est\u00e1n destinadas a:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Protecci\u00f3n, mejora y\/o restauraci\u00f3n del valioso h\u00e1bitat pesquero de los Grandes Lagos que sustenta la reproducci\u00f3n natural, sostenible y a largo plazo de especies que ahora se sustentan en la producci\u00f3n de criaderos o la rehabilitaci\u00f3n del pescado blanco de lago, la trucha de lago, el esturi\u00f3n de lago u otras poblaciones importantes de peces de los Grandes Lagos.<\/li>\n<li>Restauraci\u00f3n de humedales de los Grandes Lagos.<\/li>\n<li>Eliminaci\u00f3n de presas o barreras para restablecer el paso de peces (ver\u00a0<em><a>Propuestas de pol\u00edtica sobre protecci\u00f3n y restauraci\u00f3n del h\u00e1bitat<\/a><\/em>).<\/li>\n<li>Inventarios de campo que identifiquen de manera exhaustiva los cruces de caminos y arroyos y otras barreras a escala de cuencas hidrogr\u00e1ficas en aquellas cuencas identificadas como de alta prioridad en la planificaci\u00f3n u otros documentos de gesti\u00f3n. Los solicitantes que busquen financiaci\u00f3n para realizar inventarios deber\u00edan estar bien posicionados para implementar planes de restauraci\u00f3n basados en los resultados.<\/li>\n<li>Adquisici\u00f3n selectiva de tierras o servidumbres para proteger el h\u00e1bitat esencial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Debido a la financiaci\u00f3n limitada, el GLFT solo considerar\u00e1 sitios de proyectos ubicados:<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Dentro de la cuenca del lago Michigan<\/li>\n<li>En el estado de Michigan, dentro de otras cuencas de los Grandes Lagos (es decir, la costa de Michigan de los lagos Erie, Huron y Superior), se dar\u00e1 prioridad a los proyectos que se centren en el lago Michigan.
